The brilliant headline, “Anarchists to hold planning meeting”, was changed to “Anti-authoritarian group to strategize this weekend for convention protests” after only a few hours.
screen cap of original:
The strib has been on a downward spiral for some time now, but I still read it online from time to time. This headline nearly made me spit coffee. Seriously, do anarchists hold meetings? Meetings that were planned in advance? And they typed up an agenda and notified the press?
Rule one of anarchy club:
The group had sent out an announcement last week, saying questions had to be submitted by e-mail a week in advance.
So who organizes the anarchists? I bet they run their meetings to the letter of Robert’s rules of order. I’m a little bit sad I didn’t get the memo or invited to the meeting.
I’m leaving town for the duration of the GOP convention. I don’t want to go to jail.
Best…headline…EVER.
More evidence of the Strib’s increasing stupidity: yesterday their tech reporter answered a reader’s question about problems connecting to a non-Apple wireless access point from a MacBook by suggesting that she not use passwords on the access point.

Anarchists + Parlimentary Procedure = You’re doing it wrong.
